It is official. In the begining of April I will become a temporary citizen of the a fine country in southwest Asia. I was just wondering from people that live in hot climates, what it takes to get a car ready to store. I know all the basic stuff for a cold humid climate, but have never had to deal with this in a place like Vegas. The storage will be for about 545 days, In a garage here in Vegas. Any suggestions¿ Also, are there any suggestions as to how a human being is capable of going an entire year and a half without any sex, driving, spinning, and alcohol (not at the same time)¿ This is the only part that has me a little worried.[paranoid]

Well, you should DEFINITELY get the battery-maintaining charger bmw sells for like 70 bucks. It will make sure your car's on board computers keep a little bit of power, enough so they wont get ruined.

I would probably make sure there is no way for any insects to get into the garage. Getting a TRUSTED friend or family member to drive the car every 2 weeks for a good 20 miles isnt a bad idea either. You might want to do an oil change, and put in some of the oil and antifreeze they make especially for storing a car...though I have no idea on anything specific -- all I know is they do make it. Also drain the gas tank, keep the gas from going stale.

Which brings us to the next topic.........don't smoke crack![fake] Spinning is indeed records. I haven't gone for a period longer that a week without turtable in the past four years. As for getting laid, I'm gonna be with an infantry unit. That sort of nullifys that. Iraq is a dry country, so the beer thing is a little sketchy. I found somewhere that I can park it in a garage and somebody can take it out for a spin every once in a while. I am just gonna do an oil change, take the pan off and clean it out and replace the oil pan gasket. It shouldn't need much more than that. I told them that if they take my car out, it has to be driven accordingly. None of this put-put sh!t around town.
