Window tinting also good for covering up scratches?

Hi guys, just joined today.

I'm about to get my 325i tinted (the glare from the afternoon sun is becoming unbearable) but before I do I was wondering whether the tint will make scratches on the windshield less noticable.

Anyone have any idea? thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The window tint will highlight the scratches under certain angles and lighting conditions. Are you sure you want to tint your windshield? That will really compromise visibility when driving at night.

^Well I was considering one of the lighter shades. The range is from very light to almost pitch black (a scale from 1-9) I was thinking a 3-4.

I'm unsure about the percentage scale. Then again I'm just starting.

However, if tinting would actually make chips/scratches on the window more visible I might just pass (check my other topic)

thanks
