you have a M3
after the 2000 km breakin period, you want to gun it
you went through a ramp that has a sp limit of 60 at 140
you were stopped by police but managed to talk out of getting a ticket
YOU BRAGGED IT TO YOUR KID, WHO WAS SITTING AT THE BACK OF YOUR CAR AND SHE IS GOING TO GET A DRIVING LICENCE VERY SOON.

It'a a true story happened to my friend and it bugs me. Should I let him know of my thoughts?

If your thoughts are that he should have been more reponsible driving with his kid in the car, that he shouldn't have broken the law and then bragged about getting out of the consequences, then you should share your thoughts with your friend. He was being reckless and set a bad example for the kid. We all like to have fun in our toys and I'm sure there are some out there who on occasion exceed the speed limit [joke] , but with my child in the car I am very careful.

Yeah, it is really terrible to do that. I have two brothers, one is 8 years old and when he is in the car with me (or when anyone is in the car with me, for that matter), any aggressive driving you may want to do should be saved for another time. He got out of the ticket and was impressed about his negotiating skills, okay fine. But to actually go fast with your own child in the car is mad stupid. I would NEVER do something risky like that with my little brother in the car. As the driver, you are responsible for all of your passengers, and I'll be damned if I have to bury my little brother. Your friend should also consider the fact that if they get into an accident and they need to evacuate from the car, it is much much harder to get a back-seat occupant out of a Coupe than a typical sedan or SUV.
If you feel that your friend should know what he did was wrong, just tell him. You're his friend and you're doing it for his own good...just be as polite about it as you can and I'm sure your friend will get the point without feeling insulted or anything.

It's understandable that you will speed every now and then when you have a performance car like M3. The thing that bugs me the most is that he is showing it to a teenage driver-to-be. Young drivers may not know a difference between an M3 and a Civic when it comes to handling. Yes, I am definitely going to talk to him. Thanks for the advice.
