Stitch, the "E" name on the car is the body style, the engines have different names and I am sure that epj3 and some others could enlighten you on those. You used the M5 as an example..........any current 5 series is called an E 60 regardless of whats under the hood. The 525i is an E60, as is the 530i the 530d, the 530xi, the 545i and the M5...........even the station wagon is an E60. So no,... the the new M3 will still be an E90.
