Where do they get all the info?

I'm thinking of making a web-site about cars and I'm wondering if anyone knows where sites such as www.germancarfans.com or www.rsportscars.com or even this site get all the articles and pictures? Do they have a partnership with someone, or do they have people working for them that come up with the articles and photographs? I'm interested in making an information site (such as those sites listed) and need to know where to get information without braking any copyright laws [read]

They're called press releases. Publicity departments in any company and independent publicists spit that stuff out all the time. It's intended for the public and journalist who might be writing an article. Of course, reputable magazines don't just reprint press releases or press packs. They actually test the cars and write what they think. But there are a number sites that just reprint the company line. They're fine sites, so long as people know there is no filter.

Ok that makes sense. Now I'm just wondering where I may get a hold of these press releases? I would imagine that car manufacturer's web sites would have some info that I could use? And as for photographs I would probably have to ask for permission to use them.

Unfortunately, I think you need to be a part of some kind of news reporting site/media. If you have a site, it shouldnt be a problem registering (I registered a long time ago, so honestly I don't remember).
