I've always puzzled over this question if any of you could enlighten me I'd be thankfull [burnout]

Whats faster the Ferrari Enzo or the Mclaren F1?

Any type of facts, specs, 0-60 times anything would help. [|)]

Just my 2 cents, but I would think the enzo would take the McLaren F1 off the line, but as far as top speed I thought the f1 still held the record for being the fastest production car in the world.

Bimmerlife....look at the link I posted.....There is a very distinct possibility that your observance of the McLaren is not the hands down winner anymore. There is a contender in the Ring.....Koenigsegg.........LOOK OUT

McLaren F1 has fastest top speed ever recorded for a production car and has a 0-60 in under 3, not sure on exact. But I think the Enzo's 0-60 is 3.1 or 3.3, somewhere in that range, the McLaren F1 is definately faster in top speed and 0-60 though.

Edit: According to that website posted above, my 0-60 times aren't correct. I read a similar article the other day in a car magazine, that's where I got my 0-60 times so I'm not sure anymore.

There should be your answer, apparently, of the 4 super cars out right now... the Enzo is last place for overall top speed. The Konigsegg kicks its ass by 27 mph that is incredible considering it is a V8 and the Enzo is V12, I think however if the Enzo went on a diet and lost about 500 lbs, it would be the hands down winner.[boxface]
It is absolutely impossible for the enzo to loose 500 pounds -- the entire body is made of carbon fiber and, well, they have it stripped down as much as it can get.

F1 is fastest...236 top end speed. The Enzo is out before 220. One car that is not in that list is the Lamborghini Mercielago. The mercielago should be in that top list, it 0-60 is 3.2 and top speed of 206. Lamborghini is now owned by the volkswagon group, which doesnt make me happy, but hopefully the Lambo company wont turn into crap. I like the enzo, but as i watched a show last night about the enzo, even though its aero dynamics are of the best, i just dont like the proportion of it. especailly the plexi cover over the engine??? come on, thats just ugly. i love engines dont get me wrong, but who wants to see it, or cares to see it when the car is acually going down the road? i like lambo's just because they too have unique aerodynamics, but still look real sporty and yet also have a lot of class.

have you all seen the galardo? omg, that is sooooooooo ugly. and guess what? its a product of the VW group. i am scared to see what they do next. i am a diablo and mercielago lover. one cool thing about lambo too...all the names of the cars have a unique italian history behind tehm. such as the mercialgo, he was a famous bull in those ring fights that took several more spears than any other bull had ever taken without dieing. he was almost like a God to them after that. Gallardo was the son bull of mercielago. etc etc...i like that. there's a legend behind every car.

not true. i forgot what exactly it was called, but that show on discovery i watched last night said it was something else, just developed, like on no other car yet. i know its not carbon fiber though.

I read in the article that I posted that the ABS and a bunch of other crap the Enzo has weigh it down considerably. The other cars don't have all the creature comforts that the Enzo has, thus making them lighter and overall faster. Don't get me wrong I lOVE the Enzo and was dissapointed to read that, but who knows....maybe the article was bullshit.
