Went to Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro, NC today to check out the new Porsche Cayman S today since they had a special launch gathering there this weekend for it.

It's a very cool little car. Looks very cool. I love the proportions and the stance. Sticker on this guy was $71,000. I picked up a brochure on it - haven't had a chance to look through it yet since it's like a small book (90 pages!!!!)

I am not a big fan of the Boxster or Boxster S, but I do like this Cayman S. It is a cool little car, but for that price I would look to buy a 911 series more....

i can't argue the performance numbers, NO ONE CAN, the Z06 is crazy!!! but the C5's interior etc.. was supposed just a piece of shit, the leather falling apart real fast. i'll let this one slide this time.

Actually I'm sure they DO care since the Z06 outruns all current porsches on the nurburgring.

I have owned several chevs in my time and they have been good cars, I have owned several BMW's as well and some were down right money pits, at the present time I own a Chev and BMW, I like them both.

I believe you, but what I'm trying to say is...if a man with $71k went to the porsche dealership because he just loves the Cayman, do you think the fact that the Z06 outruns all porsches on the nurburgring would be on his mind?

It seems kind of trivial in the grand scheme of things. Most people don't buy BMWs because they're fast, they buy them because they are BMWs. [rolleyes]

Man they always release these things so much later in the states than here....makes sense I guess, I am in Germany....DUH!!! The Cayman has been out for a minute, I think it looks like a Chick Porsche personally. I would jump all over a Z06 and over here, the speed DOES matter. Germans HATE and I emphasize HATE to lose to a US made car.

I like the look of the Cayman so far but have not seen one yet in person. On Porsche's website they start at $59K. But once you start putting on options the price goes up quickly.
