Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what I should use to remove & clean the water/calcium spots & rings off my front windscreen? My Audi must have been sprayed on the lot multiple times in the hot Los Angeles sun, and left to dry with that wonderful "spot free" rinse car dealers like to use. I have tried everything, including white vinegar. A friend recommended a clay bar, but I don't want to scratch, or put any fine lines on my brand new car glass. Thanks a lot! -Adam

I use Meguiar's Invisible Glass to clean all my glass, it works like a charm.

Using a clay bar won't scratch, but is a little excessive for just removing water spots.

Try the glass cleaner first.

Hey Nav/Hosagod! Yeah, I use that too, but it won't even begin to budge the water spots. I have tried the Meguiar's, Eagle One, White Vinegar, Windex & my HolyGrail German Aral Glasschaumreiniger (with ammonia, alcohol and tons of other toxic goodies)...and I can't get them off. Driving me nuts!

BTW, you E46 looks absolutley stunning. What a rockin' head turner you have. Awesome work man, really awesome!!

Pretty sure they're water spots. Typical, round little rings, with that faint whitish colour. Some have come off with repeated cleaning, but a lot are very stubborn, and are very evident (at least to me :) in bright light. Arghhhh. Not the end of the world obviously, but I like a hyper, über clean car.

Go to a local glass shop they have chemicals that remove water spots, cheap and the most effective. The one I have is Bio-Chemical Water Stain Remover, smells pretty good too, you buff it into the glass, then rinse it with water--works damn good.
