What can I expect to pay for license plate tags after the first year of a new BMW? Someone told me to expect at least $600.00. Just curious as to what some you have paid.

ps... i have a friend who is trying to get me to buy an Infiniti G35. Nice but what are you crazy!

Depends on how your state calculated it. When Gray Davis tripled our car tax, it sent a new BMW over $1000.

Nothing wrong with the G35. You get a lot for your money. The sedan looks funny IMO, but I like the coupe. It was a really close call for me.

Oh, you must be talking about a motorcycle? A Beemer motorcycle is probably much cheaper since it costs a fraction of what a Bimmer car does.

$28.00 for Inspection
$78.00 for License Tag Sticker after the first two years..........

All cars are the same in Texas.............we dont discriminate on value......

Code, if you remember he has a Bimmer but likes the spelling of "Beemer" (previous thread of discussing the spelling and origin).................[???1]

Oh, if it's personal preference, then that's fine. I think I remember that post. Don't recall being very involved in it.

Just got my registration for this coming year. 2nd year of owning the vehicle and it came out to $275. CA doesn't have inspection so that fee is everything I pay for pretty much. I think it includes my personalized license plate fee so it might be a little higher than normal.

It all depends on your states method of raisng money for the highways etc. In Nevada it is based on the basic original msrp + destination charge, options don't count. Each subsequent year the amount drops until it levels off at some point. My 2004 330i cost me $660 for 2004 and my 1989 325i $54. When I lived in New York it was based on vehicle weight. Look up the method used in your state. It is usually listed in your DMV's website. It is for Nevada so one can be somewhat prepared when told of the fee.
