I ran across some interesting information. According to BMW representatives, the US now represents the biggest market for BMW cars, with sales exceeding those in Germany. I thought this was interesting, especially with the weak US dollar. They build in Euros and sell in a weaker US dollar, and despite this, they still generated their largest sales from the US.

I guess you need to give them [thumb] .

It's too bad America has such a big influence over BMW. I think that's a huge reason why all their new cars SUCK. Maybe now that Bangle is set to leave we can get a good German designer in there and get rid of all the shitty designs and implications designed to appease the stupid American masses.

Botton line-it is all about $$$$$.

They will always go where they can get it ($$$$$), not that I agree with the design, but global coverage ensures the most diversification and therefore $$$$$. If you have 40, 50, 60, to $100,000.00 +++ to spend, anywhere, they want it!!!! You need to give them credit for getting it.

I also understand the new designs are MOST popular in Germany. It is here where they are having the most design problems; I think a few people here have said this in the past.

Yeah, I hate the feeling of American cars. My car has been in the body shop for the past week and I've been using my mom's 2002 Chrylser Concorde. The car is a lot faster than mine and you can spin the back tires just by tapping the pedal - but I hate driving it. It's like driving a huge boat around and you feel NO connection to the road. The seats and overall design of the car make you want to fall asleep while you're driving. And, even though the car has lots of low end torque compared to my 325i, it never feels as fast when you're driving it around.

I miss my car so much!!!
