upgrading the amp?

hey, i got a 96 328i with the harmon kardon speakers, and i put in a pioneer HU. what i wanna know is can i just replace the factory amp with a different one or would i have to re wire everything?

it'd be smart to rewire. it sucks yes, but after you do it you'll be happy you did.

there are ways of just swapping the amps, but you have to cut wires in the trunck, and it can get messy.
