Any guesses as to the price it will sell for? Not much over book value is my guess!

BRADLEY BEACH, NJ: The year was 1982. 20-year-old movie idol Tom Cruise took some of his earnings from his first big hit, "Risky Business," down to a BMW dealer in Edison, NJ, not far from where he was living in Glen Ridge, NJ. He purchased a white, 1983 BMW 320is sport sedan with a sport-handling package, 1.8 liter engine and 5-speed stick shift. The original sticker price: $16,340.20. The EPA rated it 25 mpg. Tom Cruise drove the car for about two years, putting some 19,000 miles on the clock. The car has been recently tuned and given a brake job. It is fully drivable, with 183,000 miles on the odometer. It is likely to have been his first-ever new car purchase. And now, Cruise fans and car buffs can compete to own this authentic piece of American movie history and German automotive craftsmanship. The car, a rare reminder of Cruise's East Coast roots, is currently owned by Feedbag recording artist Tommy Anton, who has put the car up for sale on eBay—and who will donate a portion of the proceeds to Musicians On Call—a charity, endorsed by such prominent artists as Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Norah Jones, The Who, Tony Bennett, Melissa Etheridge, and many others, that brings performances directly to hospital rooms. (More information at www.musiciansoncall.org.) The sale is handled by Michael A. Graubart of Michael's Motorcars, Inc., in Neptune, NJ. Authentication documents clearly tracing the car to Tom Cruise, pictures of the car, and the original window sticker can be seen at myspace.com/tommyanton. The auction will run from 8/7/05 through midnight, 8/14/05. For information about the auction, please contact Graubart at 732-775-4444. For information about Cruise, the car's authenticity, or Musicians on Call, please contact Anton at 732-682-7692.

I can buy 80's models 320's all day for $1,300 - $2,000, what do you know that we don't? I think being a car previously owned my Tom Knowitall Cruise would make it's value about ten cents!

I see Tom's got some fans here.... [:D]

What are these folks hoping for, a loose Tom Cruise hair so they can clone him for their very own?

Old Ron is turning in his grave I'd bet.. "Tom shut up, before they realize we're really 'not' a religion!"

(Running before I need my flame suit)

I don't think you'll be flamed... i've never heard of anyone else who didn't think scientology was funny, especially since stupid actors are the only members [hihi]

Brooke Shields could turn this into a revenge publicity stunt. She should buy it, and then blow it up, drive it off a cliff, destruction derby, whatever.
