Shopping for tires is insanely difficult!!! I'm looking for a good set of summers... so far I've considered the Hankook RS2 Z212's (supposed to be very good, and cheap.. my top pick for now), the Bridgestone RE750's, and the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2. I don't want to spend more than $550. I'm looking for something for autox, daily driving, etc. Wet traction doesn't have to be superb but has to have SOME kind of wet traction....

Any idea's? Looking for 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 for front, and 245/40/17 for rear.

Hankook are Budget/Ecomony sector tyres but in fairness, they are towards the top of the rung of this sector.

However, if you can get Falken, which are in the same league as Yokohama (just below the big guns like Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli etc) but better in my opinion, as they perform a lot better than Yokohama in the wet. However, the Falken tyres should be priced very attractively as they retail due to their status and market thie rstuff is aimed at.

Being in the tyre trade here in the UK, we buy Falken in bulk and therefore sell them only a few £ more than the likes of Hankook etc.

Your best choice is to go for Falken or BF Goodrich (which are made by a subsidary of Michelin) if you can. This was for just a few $ more you will get a significantly better product.
