so my passanger side window got blown out by some laborers* doing landscaping across the street this morning [B)] ...getting a new window installed right now, but looking for a good tint place in the south san fernando valley...

good quality and reasonable price...i'd rather pay more for a pro job as long as they back up their service with some sort of warranty if possible (bubbling, etc.)...

pref recommendations from people who've had dealings or have friends with good experience at said location...

Big Daddy, thanks for the P.C. edit...not like any gardeners would be on here to begin with, but hey...do what you gotta do...

oh yeah...and you can delete this whole thread...

p.s. is there a time limit after which the delete thread option go away?

No but there are members on this board who would find the racial slur you used offensive, in fact I have some very good friends of that particular race and it is a violation of the Terms of Service!

one of my best friends is mexican too...love the guy...you know why?...because he came to this country legally as my family once did and is a positively contributing member to this society...

the people who ****ed up my car this morning were probably not...on top of that, they weren't even nice enough to leave a note...because they knew if they did that the authorities might be involved and they could be on the next bus to TJ...

so forgive me if i'm not exactly too stoked about spending $250 on a new window and probably another $350 for body work because some illegal laborers didn't want to take responsibility for their screw up...

I'd rather not have to "forgive you", as I understand your reasoning about the damage to your vehicle, but racial slurs and asumptions about people are not the answer, besides do you think any other race, including some white people have "screwed up"? Loose the attitude.

...Not to destroy any of your preconceptions, but I don't think deportation was what was on the persons mind when they didn't leave the note. I really don't see how citizenship status has anything to do with anything. I don't know if you saw the outburst with O'Riley and Geraldo, but this thread really makes about as much sense, as is about the same relative issue.

The problem, as you adequately put, is accountability and liability. Some individuals feel that if there is no one around 'to hold one accountable' that there is no need to 'be' accountable or that liability does not arise. Race, Creed, or citizenship status have nothing to do with this mentality. I would argue the only thing that REMOTELY would have anything to do with it is upbringing. ...But this has nothing to do with this thread.

sure...nazi germany comes to mind...the question still falls back to accountability and liability...
Oh, here we go with Nazi Germany. My god, will 12 years of Nazi rule always cast a black shadow on a country that has hunderds and hundreds of years of rich culture, medical advancements, education, the first automobile, inventions, human rights, labor laws, strict enviornmental laws, etc...

We did not choose to have the Nazis take our country over. My uncle, who resisted was put into a concentration camp for 4 years doing hard labour for (and yes, we are "pure" Germans, with no Jewish or gypsy ancestry). If you resisited the Nazis, you were put into a camp. German or not. Period!

Sorry, to get off the day labourer issue, but enough with immediately linking Nazi with Germany. We don't still blame Italy for Mussolini, or Russia for Stalin or Japan for Pearl Harbor. Let the wound heal. Danke [wave]

Sunshield Tinting, 4704 Van Nuys Blvd, Sherman Oaks 91403 are fantastic.

Every auto dealer on Van Nuys Blvd (BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, VW, etc.. use them exclusively). I have used Sunshield for 10+ years.

Hamid is the owner, and he's a great, honest guy.
