RS6 is back.

Powered by V10 turbo

Audi is completing the A6 range with the RS6 as an direct competitor to BMW’s M5. Don’t get fooled by the S6 stickers on this Audi. This is the brand new and still secret RS6. The bigger air intakes in the front bumper and the two big oval exhaust pipes are the key clues. While the S models have four round exhaust pipes, the RS models have two oval pipes as their distinguishing feature. Shown in these spy photos is the Avant (station wagon), but it will also be available as a saloon. Powered by the same V10 engine as the S6, but with some help from a turbo delivering about 520-550 bhp, this Audi will give the M5 and E63 AMG a strong challenge. The RS6 will debut in Geneva in March 2007.

German Car Fans.

MMM can you say M5/ E63 Killer!!

I think it's a fine looking wagon, not amazing....but it is sporty and I can say first hand the the build quality will be awesome.

The only problem I have with a turbo V10 Audi wagon, or an E55 wagon, etc.... Is that you are most likely buying the wagon for family use, or you haul a lot of stuff around. Either way, it is ridulous and unsafe to have 500+ hp. If you want that much hp, then I think a sports car, or sports sedan is a better choice.

Agreed, today I saw the R63 AMG, and all along im thinking who needs a 503hp minivan..

But.. Wagon's I deem fine, take it easy when needed, and let all hell break loose when you want to have some fun.

Guess the great thing about them is that you can go from hauling the kids and shopping around to having fun with it. Audi do seem to take an understated approach to their designs, apart from the grill lol.

We have a saying this side of the pond... Own Goal [;)] Or put another way Audi have answered the question no one asked [screwy]
Rumor mill has it that BMW has an M5 wagon in the works. There used to be an M5 wagon. Talk about getting your feelings hurt, get smoked by a wagon on the Autobahn.

Now what would be killer is if BMW turns out a 335i Wagon[pray]

The E34 M5 used to be one hell of a car because sometimes some folks need that bit of extra room and versatility with the estate/wagon layout. I have heard that there is likely to be an estate/touring version of the new M5, that would be nice.

Audi's are brilliant and built superbly and I do really respect them even though some of the styling can be very conservative (which isn't always a bad thing).
