Swapping out BMW wheels???

Total noob here, sorry.

I'm probably going to buy a 1992-1998 325i or 328i. Thing is, I REALLY like the (standard?) BMW spoked wheels of the 1995 525 and some of the 1994 325i models.

Three Questions:

1) Would these (the 525 or 325, above) rims physically fit on any/all '92-'98 325(8)i models?

2) IF SO, where the heck could I buy them, and for how much?

3) Is "wheel" the same thing as "rim?" [confused]

Thanks

The 5 series has a different offset than the 3 series, but most of the rims that are on the 5 series have two sizes, one with an offset that fits on a 3 series.

If you want to get them cheap, look on ebay.
But if you desire changing the rims, there is a page somewhere with all the BMW rims, I've seen it online, anyone have a handy link for our friend here? (The reason I mention this is because I'm not sure which 5 series rims you speak of; there are many many MANY different rims for both cars. So to know whether they are made in an offset that will fit your soon-to-be 3 series, it would be necessary to know exactly which rim you desire.

Good luck in the search!

Oh, and yes, a wheel is the same as a rim...
however, some people say / assume that a "wheel" refers to a steel rim/wheel with a hubcap, whereas a "rim" refers to a finished alloy without a hub cap. I don't buy into that.

Now a spinner s a completely different story....
