I was charged $244 for a Starla muffler in my E30 325i - Was I ripped off? The $244 figure represents the cost of the actual part itself, it does not include labor.
Stock OEM can be purchased for between $138 and $225 depending on the year of your car. An ANSA muffler can be purchased from an advertiser on this site for under $200. I have never heard of Starla.

Thanks Big Daddy - I think the dude totally ripped me off - I insisted that he put on a BMW muffler or a German-made muffler and he told he was going to - this is before I authorized him to do the work. As far as I'm concerned, they breached the contract.
