Here are much clearer photos of BMW's upcoming large family car, the V5. Though initially, this was thought to be an MPV-crossover similar in concept to the Mercedes-Benz R-Class, it now looks as if it's going to be more of a conventional low-slung, five-door hatchback.
Four-wheel-drive may still figure, however; the V5 is based on underpinnings shared with the X5 and X6 as well as the 5-Series saloon and Touring. Don't expect too much load-carrying ability with that sharply sloped tailgate, though - the Touring's going to remain the most practical member of the family.
