Im lookin for a good oil filter for my BMW. Im thinking about getting a Spin-Flow Filter, but I need some feedback on it. I know that NAPA makes the best so I’m not worried about its quality, but I would like to hear other peoples opinion on it:) Oh, there is also some instant win contests running. I found everything at the links below. Check them out, the sites are pretty cool!

The spin flow is a good idea, but frankly I tihnk it's a gimmick. Oil filters have worked for generations, and have done their job well. There is probably little room for improvement. That said oil filters lose their efficiency when the oil gets dirty (duh), thus if one does not get their oil changed regularly then the filter is missing particles that WILL harm your engine.

If you change your oil when you're supposed to it MIGHT make a marginal difference, but i do find it interesting that NAPA uses this "technology" on their NASCAR select filters, and not on their better (more expensive as well) NAPA Gold filters.

I have UOA (Used Oil Analysis) done regularly and from the analysis the GE MANN oil filter works outstanding. Can't argue with actual test results. Visit www.bobistheoilguy.com for worthy forum data. Good luck dude

i have been using the spinflows for two months now and they rock! been leary
of using a compound to remove slug on my ole 84 but i put one ran it
hard for 250 - 300 miles with fresh oil change and was really curious
as to how it would look inside. So i put one on my mercury capri xr2
turbo (background info this car has been sitting in the same spot for
3 years) put a rebuilt head on it and ran it the other 250-300 miles
home) Oil look like it was new (I knew that was impossible right)
Still curious it cut the damn thing open with a grinder. If you could
see the crap that rolled outta that thing. Thought i was gonna need
a oil flow flush of the engine but i am impressed. I swapped out a
advance filter cause i forgot curiosity costs. But payday is next
week and I think it will pick up a few more when i got back to pick
up my bmw.
