My local Cadillac dealer had a CTS-V sitting on their lot so I figured I'd snap some pics. Performance wise it's not a bad car, but the exterior and interior to me seems pretty cheap looking for a $50k car.

Yea, I guess they are trying. I had a new Deville as a rental for a couple of days and I sure did not find it to be on par with other luxury cars, but then again it’s a lot cheaper than many others at $49,.

I just looked up the CTS-V and it does look impressive. It would be interesting to drive one and see how the 400 hp feels.

The thing is a 4 door Corvette basically. Cheap interiors are a hallmark of most GM cars, including the Vette. Saabs and Caddys tend to buck that trend, but I guess the Caddy managers caved in to the GM bean counters on the CTS.

What I'm surprised is how low the gas mileage is. The Vette is supposed to get pretty good numbers. The CTS-V is getting worse power numbers and gas mileage from supposedly the same engine. Not good.

I like the grill, but I'd hate to have to clean it.

Wow, I did not know those were in the $50s. I was thinking 30's-no way I would pay 50, a lot of other choices that I like better in that range.

Well this is a CTS-V, which is basically the equivilant of M for BMW or AMG for Mercedes. The normal CTS's are in the 30's
