So how fast is an e30 M3?

I've got a 1992 325i right now but I'm thinking about selling it at the end of the summer for an e30 M3. Right now I have an auto and the car seems a bit heavy. I really like the thought of getting a nice like manual car to have some fun with. I think it's strange that it has a 4 cyl. engine. Is this I4 faster than an I6 325i e30 or e36? Seems like it would have to be to have an M badge, right? Anyway, I would just like to hear your thoughts on the car.

0 - 60 in 7.4 seconds, quarter mile in 15.5. It's not a whole lot faster than the 325is, but it has an uncomparable suspension. If the chances arises, please buy it! You'll regret it someday if you don't.
