wait a sec. what was up with the wing? it goes up under hard braking like an air brake or whats that about?

Yeah you're right. The wing comes up under hard braking from over 80km/h to aid in the braking force. Apparently it is brutally effective as it creates a huge amount of drag on the car. If you want to see it more clearly go to www.flixvault.net and check out the Top Gear video of the SLR vs. SL 55. Clarkson does a braking test that is quite litterally unbelievable!

I thought it costs around $350K USD! $569K just seems insane considering it's only a V8 under the hood....

For that price I could have a whole fleet of M3's or a few M5's. I would rather have my M. Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but that is too much money and quite frankly for that price I would rather have a Ferrari or two/three.....
