Hi all,
I have a 2002 325i and would like to install a short shifter as a first upgrade. I did a search for "short shifter" and read all forums that relate to this topic. I now have allot of information ready and would like to finalize my decision between two vendors.

I read allot of people love the UUC EVO3 short shifter with some minor complains about the noise and vibration and transmission clicking. Looking at the kit on UUC website i see that EVO3 doesn’t include a complete set/kit it only sells as a lever by itself without additional bushings (not sure if i need any). I guess the selector rod remains stock unless you buy it separately.

On the other hand looking at the short shifter kit at Rouge Engineering I see that ss kit includes Weighted Selector Rod, Carrier Bushings etd.

Can someone please make a final recommendation or add any comments (what exact parts I need to buy) from personal experience of using UUC EVO3 and/or Ruge Engineering kit.

I have heard that the Rouge Ebgineering kit is much better than the UUC and I have nothing against UUC personally. I have a Dinan short shifter in my roadster, but had a UUC in my 318. I have no personal experience with the Rouge, but trust those friends who said it was a better kit.
