This engine has such amazing claims and a smiple design that it makes me wonder.

However the professionalism in which they conduct themselves (on the website) is VERY poor. There are NUMEROUS typos and the video quality is AWFUL on their dyno run. A Quick cam from 1993 would take better video than what they posted...

The implications if this actually does work and isn't a joke are massive.

Wow! Great info John!

It looks like this guy may really be on to something here. It's really clear that this engine design eliminates a lot of weight, friction and lost energy due to reciprocation.

The really cool thing is that it optimizes the use of combustion chamber volume - the same volume is almost instantaneously converted from compression to expansion as the engine runs! Brilliant! Yes, the implications ARE massive, and it is not a joke. The site mentions that he won first place in a NASA Tech Briefs competition - VERY respectable. I used to receive that magazine, it is a free subscription. Wild stuff in it.

But the devil is in the details. Can it be refined enough to hold up to the demands of a car engine? They have a ton of work ahead of them. I think this design will see it's first commericial use as a pump or air compressor, not an IC engine.
