I mean when they're weaving through the heavy lanes of traffic at the end. Looks like they go between two lanes and between two cars a few times. They just get really brave with their driving.

They both had a deathwish, you aren't kidding. I wonder how many people behind them swerved and had their own accidents..
No way that was a stock RS4, certainly modded to pull that hard on a M5, probably a [insert turbo here] . A RS4 is more M3 territory, (and unfortunately, RS4 is the winner, generally). It is not going to pull that hard on a M5 like that without a hefty [insert turbo here]. But awesome cars both, that Audi has a big [insert turbo here]. If that had been an RS6, I wouldn't think it had a big [insert turbo here], but maybe just some good mods. A RS6 would pull on a M5, but not like that either. (And it did look like a A4 frame)

That is some amazing driving, but they are definitely taking HUGE risks towards the end. I definitely don't have the balls to do what they did.
The Audi RS4's engine is based on the B5 Audi S4's 2.7 liter biturbo V6. In the S4, the motor puts out 250hp but in the Audi RS4, the motor puts out a sickening 380hp. I'm guessing that this RS4 owner also had an aftermarket ECU chip to turn up the boost even more....he was just SMOKING the M5.

i tell you 1 thing i know for sure experiencing a ride in both cars, an audi rs4 handles better than an m5, forget comparing an rs4 engine to a normal s4 engine because the rs4 engine is a porsche engine, by the way that guy in the rs4 was a better driver because seeing the way he was pulling away from the m5 so quik! it means he was dropping into the correct gear to launch off again and again, you could tell by the m5 noise he was in a high gear and the car was taking its time to pick up, lemme drive that m5 and we'll see how far the rs4 goes then [driving2]
Mate i completely disagree with you! The handling characteristics of the M5 are completely superior to the RS4's in every way! Audi's are hampered by their chronic understeer (in all their models, especially the FWD versions) and dead steering feel. I know because i've driven a family friend's RS4 and RS6. Get into an M5 and YOU drive it and you will wonder how BMW get a (relatively) big, heavy car to be so nimble, lithe, and entertaining through the twisty stuff. Like the magazine "evo" said: "stonking pace and a chassis to die for". Not many cars have this sort of accolade. The engine in the M5 is, quite simply, an absolute masterpiece and don't forget that it's an NA engine. I'm not trying to be an arsehole here but i think you're absolutely wrong!!

What are you all talking about???
1.) The RS4 engine is NOT a Porsche engine. It is an Audi engine that was taken from the S4 and heavily modified (by Audi).
2.) The M5 driver was definitely going as fast as he can when traffic allowed for it. Listen to the engine, the guy is constantly downshifting to be in those high revs for maximum acceleration.
3.) I don't know about RS4 vs M5 handling. I can tell you that I have videos of an RS4 vs M3 on a race track and the RS4 gives the M3 a REAL hard time. The M3 passes it at the very end of the video after like 3 minutes of driving on the track.

I have got the same video of the two cars on track at the Hockenheimring. If you watch closely you will see the chronic understeer i'm talking about on the Audi. The front-end is constantly washing wide and its only the superior engine power of the Audi that keeps it in front. I think its very debatable whether an Audi is quicker round a track like, say, the Nordschlieffe. The M3 has fantastic turn-in and impeccable balance. Therefore, the M3's handling is better especially as it isnt so prone to understeer which is ultimately a huge absorber of time and fun.
