Well as you guys may or may not know about 2 months ago some punk ass ricer had some problem with me...

Goes like this..

They would cruise by my house (which you cant do unintentionally or be "passing by" because I am on a cul-de-sac) just about every other day, so finally I ask the kid when I see him if he has a problem with me, he says I did some shit to his buddy and I’m "going to get my ass kicked"

Anyways

About 2 weeks after that these kids see me one night and start tailing me. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of this and I didn’t feel a real threat from the kids so my buddy who was in the car just called the cops for me.

They tell us to go to this fire dept, anyways, we go there and no one is around. So I stop at the light on the way out of the dept. The kids get out so i floor it 2 feet, they get back in the car so i stop, I did this about 3 or 4 times, finally 2 kids get out (this car is a coupe so they wont be able to get back in fast) so I just book it. They threw a huge ass rock at my car and it dented and scraped the roof in.

Finally the cop shows up after this all happens and I file a report.

The funny thing is its just a tiny ass scratch, hardly looks bad. But just for fun I get an estimate, cheapest one I can find is $460.

So i call the cop up and tell him that I have some *major* damage to my car, he gets the kids that did it and they admit to him that they threw the rock at my car. So instead of going to court me, the cop, and the 2 kids right there agree that they will pay me the money outside of court so I don’t press charges.

Well I called the kids up they don’t answer, again I call, leave a msg, no reply.
I left about 4 msgs until the kid turns his vmail off.... wow....

So I call the cop up again, he’s on vacation

HE WAS ON VACATION FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS!!!!

I called just about everyday asking if he was back yet, FINALLY last night I get a hold of him, he said the kids wont answer their cell, or home phone for him either (wow these are some smart kids). I guess he got in touch with them and they called me last night, well I was asleep when they called.

SO i Call them about an hour ago, Conversation goes like this:

Me: "Hey did you get my msg?"
Kid: "Yeah how much is it?"
Me: "$460, I got 4 estimates and this was the cheapest one"
Kid: "Getting a little pricey aren’t we?"
Me: "Well there’s not much I can do that’s just how much it is"
Kid: "Well I got an estimate too"
Me: "really? from where?"
Kid: "Wal-Mart, $3.99 for a can of spray paint"
Me: "Well that’s not going to work"
Kid: "I have my lawyer so I guess were going to court"
Me: "Fine with me Ill see you there"


So now I’m pissed, but once he gets a sopena he will prolly shit his pants.

1. He ALREADY confessed to the cop to doing it
2. Racks up for criminal damage to property here in MN
3. With a confession, winning in court will be easy to get a conviction
4. With a conviction, winning in civil court for my money will be easy.

Now im sick of playing nice with this guy, I’m going to press anything I can remotely get away with, damage to property, verbal assault, stalking me, and of course emotional damage.

Just thought I would share

m sueing for, criminal damage to property, verbal assault, stalking me, maybe emotional damage, then im going to sue their parents for negligent supervision

lol the silliest thing u can do is find the cheapest estimate.

this is an m3....go to the most expensive shop u can find.
(the one with the ferraris and bently's outside) then tell
em u can't match the color so they have to paint the whole
roof....of course then the rest of the car won't match....so it'll
be $15,000 for the entire car to be resprayed. =]

maybe i'm exagerrating, but i sure as HELL would not go to the
cheapest place in my m3 =\ if i could afford one =[

Make sure you make him pay for court costs. I totally agree, he should have to pay to respray the entire car with OEM paint DIRECTLY imported from GERMANY.

Depending how "punk" they act in front of the judge, you might get MORE than you want.

I hope you get paid, and they get the shaft.. Literally.. Moronic kids like this are the ones that deserve some hard time early - either break them of this stupidity early, or at least get them prepped for the rest of their life.. In jail!

That's the worst kinda person next to an outright killer - someone with no respect for other people, their property, or the law (obviously).

to use dave letterman's terms - bunch of punks, thugs.

First, they likely have no money or assets so you're not getting more than the roof painted.
Second, unless the parents prove to be a-holes you probably don't want to screw them, they have enough problems having a punk kid.
what would really be nice is: 1. they pay to have your car returned to it's prior luster and 2. the judge recognizes these punks need a lesson and makes them wax your car once a month for a year.

Yeah, I was also thinking the same thing. Because you first said that the ricers just randomly threw the rock at your car when your car was parked in your driveway. But now you're saying it happened during this whole enounter in front of the fire department. And you never denied it when you asked the kid his problem and he responded "you did some shit to his buddy"...what did you do?
