just wait til you get one. i could be going coil over soon (if i keep the car). i am very tempted (my wallet too) to just do bilstein sports and sport springs, but i figure since i drive this car year round coil overs might be cool so i can snap up the ride height as much as possible in the winter.

Screw the bilsteins, you want koni's revalved to match the coilovers.

i think the coilovers will be a good idea though. i know that as high most will go will still be lower than my stock setup, but it'll be fun to have a lower e36 for summer time, and maybe with some trickery a near stock ride height for the winter (when i spend a lot of time plowing snow)

I definitely would go with coilovers if you can afford them. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing to the e34, and will consider it with my next car.
