Reprogramming key

One of my keys stopped working for remote opening/closing and it's not the battery. I tried the other and it worked fine.
Does anyone know how can I reprogram the key or do I need to take it to dealership?

The keys are battery charged through the egnition system, I would try running the bimmer with the key which needs prog for 15 minutes or so, then check to see if the remote for that keys works. If not then i agree you need to take it back to the dealership. let us know what happens next.

Climb into to your car and close the doors.
Put the first key into the ignition and turn it to position 2 and back and take the key out.
Press and hold the unlock button and press the log button 3 times.
The door locks should cycle.
Now, do the same thing with the second key (but do not put it in the ignition).

As lpquik said, you may need to run your car with the dead key for a while before you do this.

Ok... I had the same problem, tried what you said now bothe sets don't work!
