Replacement for stock radio

I am replaceing the stock bmw radio in my 1983 528e. I have already replaced all 4 speakers. I noticed the stock radio is very small. Does anyone know what a good replacement is? I assume the front back stock fader shoud be eliminated? PLease help, life is just not the same without tunes! Thanks

i got myself a JVC El Chameleon. the one that has a flat panel and retracks (spelling) the keyboard after some seconds. i love it.

just make sure you get you get one that fits the interiour lights. don´t take a blue or green one or so, i think that looks too ugly

i got an alpine 7894...its pretty cool because the interior lights in my e36 are orange and you can set the deck to have an orange display with all the buttons being orange. it fits perfectly and looks liek it came with the car
