Repair recommendations

My '89 525i's factory stereo refuses to play tapes, it looks for content and then flips to the other side, it continues to do this until you take the tape out.

Any recommendations of reliable places to get these repaired at, or where I could buy another? (listening to just the radio is torcher!)

there is this new technology refered to as a Compact Disk Player, more commonly known as a CD Player. Check out Apline stuff. For my feelings in more depth on the alpine line see this post: http://www.bmwboard.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4065

"Compact Disc" is spelled with a C not a K honey

And I have a 5 disc changer under the seat, however I am inclined to keep the car looking as original as possible, thus why I have not already purchased a 3 party stereo and would like to get mine repaired or replaced with an equal model.
