Guys i was wondering why my bass was not as same as before so i checked the fade and balance options and guess what, the right-end speaker doest do bass. I opened the cover and i saw the speaker all fooked because the sun burned the plastic to pieces. I was looking to replace the speaker but it is better to upgrade to better speakers right, i was aiming to put some 6 x 9 cause im not a huge fan of loud music, i just want good music inside the car while not disturbing neighbors, but 6 x 9 wont fit, i also saw some adapter for bmw that will make 6 x 9 fit on it, any ideas??????

any ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Mate i put 3-way speakers in my E30. These have bass and tweeters. They're the same size as the originals (4 inch) so they aren't huge but they do pump out some serious sound. A mate of mine put 3-way speakers (can't remember what size exactly but 5 or 6 inch) in his E30 too and they kick arse. If you want to make the sound really good then put some 4 inch tweeters in the front as well, which is easy as. The difference is truly amazing.

Hope this helps

again guys....anything less than an 8" speaker is not designed for bass frequencies....don't over do it. you will blow them. just buy a sub, trust me....much better sound than a mid, which you are confusing with a sub.

btw, 3 way's - there is a mid, a tweeter, and a super tweeter....not a mid, sub, and tweeter. a super tweeter is just a glorified name for a tweeter that plays higher frequencies...basically they are a waste of money....its just a scheme, there isnt a benefit with 3 ways compared to 2 ways or components.
