Rear Airbag Safety

Any opinions on whether to get rear airbags on the new Bmws? I have a 2 1/2 year old and will they hurt or help her as the years go by?

I think you have to sign a waiver excluding BMW from all liabilities in the event of an accident. I have them on my car but they are disabled, to me I think its a bit too risky for younger kids.

I'd prolly leave them out if you have a 2 1/2 year old. Even young children over toddler age cuz they tend to sleep leaning against the air bags so it's real dangerous if they pop and your kid's head is right next to it. I didn't even order any on my car since it's a coupe and I won't have the car by the time I have kids old enough to stick back there.
