Prosecutors would have a hey-day here if they did this!

MUNICH - Police have searched the offices of BMW as part of an inquiry into suspected favours for public officials by the German carmaker, a spokeswoman for the company said in Munich Thursday.
German prosecutors were in charge of the inquiry and the search in Munich at the end of May.
"In response to a tip-off, the prosecutors are reviewing the procedures involving hospitality and product demonstrations for officials," the spokeswoman said, shortly after a newspaper, the Westfaelische Rundschau, reported the inquiry.
Germany has been tightening up controls on corporate hospitality, amid suspicion that government figures' procurement decisions may be influenced by
""fact-gathering" tours with lavish food or by expenses being paid for spouses as well.
This year, an inquiry slammed the level of hospitality offered by the gas industry to municipal officials at gas-drilling sites.
