I just got a 1995 740il. It has the DSP thing in the dash (I keep it off) but to tell you the truth I’ve heard better sound come from a warped 45 rpm record that was left in a hot car lol. This is my first BMW so I can’t say if its working right or not but the sound is very tinny with no real highs or lows at all. Just a muddy dirty mid. I also found that the rear speakers (behind the back seat) aren’t working at all. I've checked all settings and that’s not the problem. How do I get access to these speakers to check the wires/connections? Does the grill pop off? Where is the amp located to check the wires there, is it the black box behind the cd changer in the trunk? Could it be faulty? And my last question is (and it may sound dumb) if at a later date I want to replace all the speakers can I use the original wires and amplifier or do I have to replace those too?
