High Performance SUV with 600 hp / 442 kW, 865 Nm, 292 km/h V/max and muscular Designer Outfit

TechArt MAGNUM with 600 hp / 442 kW twin-turbo V8 and muscular designer outfit: At the IAA 2005, the high performance SUV Made by TechArt Automobildesign (www.techart.de ) celebrates its World Debut.

The TechArt engine department was hard at work developing an extremely powerful version. The TechArt TA 048/T3 performance kit consists of two larger turbochargers, a high performance intercooler, the TechArt sport exhaust system as well as a redesigned intake manifold. A newly programmed Motronic and a sport air filter complete this tuning level.

In this guise the twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 600 hp / 442 kW and a peak torque of 865 Nm. The 4x4 storms from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 292 km/h.

The perfect complement to the power kit is the TechArt fully stainless-steel TechArt sport exhaust system. Cayenne owners can choose to combine the rear muffler with the stock tailpipes of the car or with four chrome-plated TechArt tailpipes.

The fender flares of the TechArt MAGNUM body conversion add eight centimeters to the width of the SUV from Zuffenhausen. That means there’s room for king-size 10Jx22 one-piece TechArt Formula light-alloy wheels all around. The ContiSportContact II tires in size 295/30 ZR 22 on front and rear axles are approved on the Cayenne for speeds up 300 km/h.

The TechArt MAGNUM front apron looks great with its strikingly styled large air inlets. It features two fog lamps and two high beams, and its refined shape reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds.

The TechArt MAGNUM side sills form a harmonious transition between front and rear fender flares.

The TechArt MAGNUM rear apron features custom cutouts for the two intertwined oval-shaped tailpipes of the stainless-steel TechArt sport exhaust system. An integrated diffuser helps reduce lift on the rear axle.

TechArt Automobildesign further refines the Cayenne body with headlight moldings, a three-piece tail lamp molding and a rear panel that carries the shape of the rear apron over to the tailgate.

The new TechArt hood is strikingly styled and features air outlets for improved venting of hot air from the engine bay, thus contributing to a thermally healthy engine.

TechArt Automobildesign also modifies the suspension of the widened Cayenne extensively. For vehicles equipped with air suspension there is the TechArt sport module, which can lower the ride height of the SUV for on-road operations by up to 60 millimeter. For tough off-road use the ride height can be increased by up to 70 millimeters.

TechArt Automobildesign can also refine the Cayenne interior in countless ways. The options for the Porsche Cayenne range from exclusive cockpit accessories to the completion of the leather interior available ex-factory to an entirely new individual TechArt fully leather interior. Also available is a stylishly integrated state-of-the-art multimedia system.

I love the way it looks from the rear [ohcrap]

The front is still a bit weird tho. But DAMN! "600 hp / 442 kW and a peak torque of 865 Nm. The 4x4 storms from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 292 km/h." Even the ML63 is toast, then again wait till brabus get their hands on that.

looks more like it! This is what Porsche should be - low profile go harmoniously w/ the more power, but like you said the engine will become a BBQ grill. No wonder Ferrari requires new owners fly all the way to Italy to take the training class before the purchase. Porsche should do sth like this for at least this model for fire safety purpose. How about the frame this time? Need a bit of Nose job though.

Something about the Cayenne has never drawin' me to it probably for my hatred of SUVs, the 4.8i X5 outperforms the Cayenne S by quite a bit on a track, they shouldn't need to make it lower, infact the X5 rides much higher than the Porsche.

You cannot compare BMW's top o'da line 4.8is X5 against Porches Cayenne middle of the road vehicle, the Cayenne S. Top of the line comparrisons have the Porche SPANKING the Bimmer....HANDS DOWN.

BMW X5 4.8is HP 355 torque 369 Impressive no doubt.
Porche Cayenne Turbo HP 450 torque 460 The suspension and braking systems are better than the X5's (User reviews).

Price cannot be a factor here. Cayenne S is 49,000-62,000 (est) and the bimmer is 71,000- 79,000(est) and their hp and torque numbers are almost the same. In its price class the Porche Cayenne Turbo 76,000-89,000 (est) beats the Bimmer. I LOVE BMW with all my heart, but build quality, comfort and performance....the Bimmer loses to Porche

I don't see how on earth they can call that a SUV? The thing sits lower or as low as my M3. I think the thing is absolutely wicked. I would love one, but only if I had so much extra cash laying around that I didn't know what to do with it. It would be a toy for me plain and simple....

BTW, I love the looks of it....

I want one too - so I can sell it, pay off my car, take a nice vacation to a place where the water is warm and the drinks are frozen, and then come home and still stick $50k in the bank.

Oh, the front air intake assembly is disgusting. Looks like it came right off "Pimp my ride"

Ugly intake! Cool but a waste of money and time. What purpose would that serve? "Hurry up honey, the kids are late for practice, take the super duper mobile".
Oh, and comparing the Cayane Turbo to the BMW 4.8is...lets go down this road; FI vs NA. Not a logical comparison. Yes, comparing flaship SUVs, Porsche all the way. But the 4.8is is a beast for a NA vehicle. I always say FI is just cheap HP.

What part of the intake is ugly??? Looks the same as most v8's out there....
Well I guess that means the others are ugly too then! [poke] LOL
IMHO I would not say it was ugly but it definitely is not pretty either! I am not a big fan of the huge grill like that unless its a Chevy Pick-up truck or something with straightlines that is 15 to 20 years old....(and I mean vehicles for you pervs out there! LOL)

By intake do you mean the wacky holes in the hood or the picture of the engine? I ment the picture of the engine, I just thought it looked hot. Nothing is as hot as ferrari's formula 1 V10 though
