From the second pic it looks like it could be like the VW Golf in size but with a bigger front end.

Does anyone else think it would be damn near impossible to get in and out of the back seat? I mean, look at the size of the rear doors!

I think the rear end looks like the M Coupes and the side view looks like the styling of a Z4. I'll hold my comments until I see one up close and personal.

i was super excited for the 1series, cause i like really small cars. I hope they do somehting with the stance, and maybe some of the lines to make it look more aggressive.

I don't think the back seats are really 'seatable', more for a set of clubs, or what not. It is supposed to be the line of cars that anyone can 'get into'. Wouldn't be a bad beach cruising ride, or cruising mobile. Can't see it being a daily driver. Could be a ladies daily driver, and would have plenty of hp and 'cuteness' I think. So, is there going to be a 2 series? Seems the have 1-7 locked into some sort of model now. If the 1 is what we saw above, whats the 2? (Maybe that convertible is the '2', and the hatchback is the 1?). Sorta like they are splitting the 3/4 into Sedan/Coupe/Convert.. Hmmmm!!!

Still won't own one..

I'll be in a 3 or 5 for the next 15 years or so. maybe when I hit my midlife crisis, or the kid(s) get the heck out.. I can get a convertible again.. (doh)

Yep, we had those pics posted a while back, I think BMW will sell alot if the price is low and quality is decent. The hatchback was never a good idea for the states, the 1 series hatch looks like a VW Golf to me in a way. Have to see how it goes with a cheap entry level BMW lower than the 3 series. Guess time will sell. Right now alot of young people would love to buy a low end BMW and mod it when the car is new. The 3 series is really not that cheap to buy new, if the price of the 1 series is in the 20's....might work for BMW.

exterior styling seems quite difficult to mod on these bangle cars though... .... or maybe not?
