(PiC) Porsche GT2 Convertible???

K' guys, spotted this "Carrera GT2" Cabriolet. Didn't know Porsche makes any GT2 convertible.

Base on the headlights. I would assume this "GT2" is a 00~01 996 model since the "Boxster-Style" headlights are no longer available for all 2002+ 911S (However, 01 996 Turbo do carry the current headlights design)

I also don't think porsche would take their "pure sports car," the GT2 (or GT3), and make it a convertible.

Man.....why would someone want to fake the funk on a porche? Is it not status enough just to own a porche (aside from a boxter)? What a LOSER

Amazing what people will do to a nice car with some cheap vinyl lettering. And the thing is most people that know the car and what the fake logo stands for will know the car is a fake. Those that don't know or don't care have no idea about the GT2 thing anyway. So essentially the person makes himself or herself look like an idiot to people that know about Porsche. And for everyone else they are like what the hell is it.

Its like this guy I see periodically. He has taken a 325ci and done everything imaginable to make it look like an M3. He has the body kit, wheels, and stripped the model off the back. This car is so damn close that it is unbelievable. However, to those that know BMW, it takes a quick look around the car and it is obvious what he is doing, while others don’t even know what an M car even is.

Lol, that's so ridiculous. The GT2 doesn't even have a sunroof just to save weight, now all of a sudden there is a heavier (typically) convertible model out? Yeah, right...

I have gotta get my camera and take some pictures of what Americans do to the "hoopty" BMW's they buy over here. BMW's are by far the cheapest and most accessable cars for a young soldier to get his paws on. I am talking older models....mainly mid to late 80's. It will make y'all sick.
