Alright, it a question which concerns taking off the filter from your car.

The kid that I usually talk about always that owns the Acura Integra 93' took out his air induction thingy or w/e its called (still a noob at this) you know were the air goes into the engine and it was just open and naked w/ out any filter nothing just bare. He says it wasn't bad and as much as I tried to tell him he was stubborn and is to date running it like so. He enjoy the "sound" of the engine, I guess its cuz air is just flowing in freely.

What are the dangeres and etc.. that you can think off because of this. So I can tell him and maybe print this out as testimony since he's in Mechanics class in "High School" hes uber engine tech[8]

Well, dirty cylinders leading to poor performance, bad piston rings, etc. It'll make the oil dirty, gas dirty, etc. If it was able to be dirty like that, then why would there be fuel and oil filters?

Imagine a stone getting in there!! Eeeek!!!! Just wait a few weeks then laugh as his engine starts to run worse than before he took it off.

Running a motor without an intake and exposed throttlebody is just asking for trouble. On top of what Eric mentioned, if he happens to get water in there it will end up ruining his engine.

You're much better throwing a cold air intake on if you're looking for more 'roar' from your engine, and slightly more response and hp to boot. Don't take off the OEM airbox and leave it with nothing, like the guys said above!

He gets the roar lol but at that price of damage I guess [:p]. He's getting a "custom" cold air intake for $10...I have yet to see this as right now I'm laughing my ass off [rofl]
