There's been alot of discussion about M3NTAL's widebody flossman M3 on E46fanatics and bimmerforums. Nick, a local here in the ATL (and resident BMW show car expert) was at SEMA in Las Vegas, and this is what he had to say about it:

"- Finally saw M3ntal's chrome M3 in person. Looked nice, but the paint already had tons of scratches/swirls/imperfections for just being out of the paint shop for 2 or so weeks? Was kinda funny seeing 4 other chrome cars there at SEMA... two other Mercedes, Shelby and a Panoz Esperante"

I also caught a few other folks commenting that had attended, that the front bumper was being held on with tape, and that beyond the supercharger for performance, it was pretty stock on the interior. I've been keeping up with his project since he started posting about it on b.f.C, I sorta was expecting a little more pizazz with all the hype this car has generated.

I have followed this tread as well and I am not impressed with some of the things on that car. It is nice, but not what I would want to own....

I agree, that money would have been better served towards performance.
