Hey,

So I went to the auto show today and took all the pics I could. My friend and I didn't bother going to the shitty sections like Toyota, Chevrolet, etc. We saw lots of cars and I wish I could have taken good pictures of them, but it was PACKED, people were surrounding all the cars, we could barely walk. I sat in all the BMW's, they had the 6-series Coupe and Convertible, the 330i ZHP and 330Ci ZHP, and basically the whole model line. I sat in both ZHP models and the clutch was really light and shifts were not close at all. I tohught the ZHP models were supposed to feature short throw shifts, but they were mad long as if I was in a stick shift pickup truck. But they were hot anyways. I also got to sit in a MINI Cooper S, and DAMN that thing felt like a toy !! It was so little on the inside, the windshield was super small, and the dash was high up and in your face....I felt like I was in a go kart or something, it was so weird !! I got to sit in the Audi S4 also...what a pimp machine !!!! The clutch was also really on that car, too which is weird. Every stick shift car I sat in seemed to have such a light clutch...I could not believe that my G35C had such a heavier clutch. I was dying to tryout an M3 6-speed, but they only had an M3 Convertible with SMG on the floor. Anyways, I had a good time and got to see what I wanted to see.

Here are the pictures, I reduced the size from 1600x1200 to 640x480, sorry they look kinda small, I just wanted it to be more 56K friendly (original pics were 700K-1MB each!). Enjoy...

Yeah, the auto show was really great. I wish it wasn't as crowded, this way I could have taken more pictures...I wanted to focus on Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, but it was just way too crowded, which is why there aren't so many pictures from these companies...and whatever pictures I did take are really poor (whenever I tried to get a good angle of the car, there were lots and lots of people walking by in my view!!).

Yeah, the rims on the 330Ci ZHP were similar to the 330i ZHP's rims. It was a dark blue Coupe with the Alcantara interior, which I absolutely hated. I really didn't like the Alcantara steering wheel, either...I didn't like that "fuzzy" feeling of the wheel. But it is definitely a great car...just not equipped the way I would if it were for myself.

Went to the show on Thur. Took a half day from work, best to go during the weekday. I was able to sit in all the cars that where available even the BMW 760 though all the buttons were missing. The Porche GT and the MB McLaren were pretty hot !

Dinan55, when we walked into the main car show area, the new Corvette was right there in front of us. I took some pictures and then we moved on.

frolf, the Lotus Elise that was in the company of the other supercars were sitting at the entrance of the Jacob Javits Center. This little demonstration was put on by a dealership...only customers of the dealership are allowed in. They have this setup every year.

To everyone,

As I stated before, the pictures I took were not at all the pictures I wanted to take. I just took these random pictures, but I wanted to focus on Audi, BMW, and Mercedes (a big focus on BMW and the 6-series and the 3-series ZHP models). Unfortunately, the car show was so packed since it was a Saturday afternoon that everybody was surrounding all of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes vehicles so I was barely able to get a clear shot. You'll see that some Audi pictures are all up-close...any further and you would have seen people around the car, and other people would have walked in front of my shot. So when we left, all I had were the random pictures that I took along the way to the Audi, BMW, and Mercedes showrooms. Next time I go, I definitely want to go during the week or something.
