New, odd Spy Shots - 4 series Convertible

The following pics are of a 4 series convertible. More views of that weird looking top - some people think it's a folding hardtop, others think it is a new deisgn of a softtop. Notice the moon roof!?!?! I never saw a moonroof in a convertible!

Maybe the moonroof is for the optional hardtop. Mercedes offers a glass roof on their SL. Maybe BMW is trying to offer something sorta similar.

uhhh, i think i would go with codex on that... cause its too big of a top to fold in and the rear screen lines look (volvo-like) like room underneath for a soft top bay.

I don't think it's a convertible at all. It's either the Coupe, or a Convertible with an optional hardtop on it.

It does look sort of Italian and Alfa Romeo looking, it also looks kind of like the newish Maseratis (the coupes and convertables). Looking like an Alfa Romeo and a Maserati is not at all a bad thing in my book [headbang]

If you have a honda that looks like an Alfa....so be it...better for you I say.....BUT, a BMW should not look like anything but a BMW. If anything, ALFA's should be trying to look like Bimmers, not the other way around.

good to know, but does this mean that the 1 and 2 series will be condensed to 1 series? (not sure if hte 2 series has been released so maybe its already out...)
