My name is Jeff :D

My friend and I recently decided to convert his old 92 325i into an Auto-X car and I'm doing a blitz of forum registrations to try and find out / gain access to as much information as possible.

I'll make sure to post pictures of the project as we move along.

I look forward to chatting it up with all of you.

Here's a quick BIO about me

Welcome!

The 92 - 95 OBDI E36 make a great autocrosser. I autocrossed my 94 until it was totaled a while back. It's sitting in my garage waiting to be rebuilt as a dedicated track car. Hopefully this winter!!!!!

To make the car competitive, the following upgrades help:
Stage I:
Springs
Konis or other performance struts
New front and rear control arm bushings
Cat back
ECU chip

Stage II:
Coilovers
Caster Camber plates (The E36 handles great, with plates it is even better)
Replace ALL suspension bushings
Replace engine and tranny bushings

Obviously, the car sticks only as good as the rubber on the wheels allow.

Don't know who sanctions your autocross, but in the US, the E36 is a consistent winner in SCCA DSP (D Street Prepared) class. That's the setup you want.
