There was recently an excellent article in the L.A. Times about the new Mercedes Bluetec diesel E-Class. It's the cleanest burning diesel passenger car ever made, yet CA, and 4 other states won't allow it to be sold.
In the past week, I have seen 2 new VW Touareg V10 TDIs driving around with local southern CA paper vanity plates (VW Van Nuys and VW Santa Monica). How can VW sell their non-Bluetec diesels in CA, and MBZ cannot?
Anyone know?
P.S.
I bet though, the 2 Touaregs I saw with paper dealership plates don't really own them, they are probably just car trolling!
