yeah, this is the same version as a couple of other boards that i visit, and they are all streamlined - the options available are outstanding
(ie. is you note, in the forum page, all the threads are marked in specific ways and all the drop-downs actually have something usefull now and then)
the rest of the stuff is eye candy, which can smash or trash a site sometimes, based on its "professional" appearance. thanks for hearing us out mods!

best feature is just letting your mouse pointer hover over a thread you might read. Up pops part of th message. Great for deciding whether or not you wanna read the thread without having to open up that page. I don't think this feature was on when the new look first changed over. Was it? e46fanatics does this too and it's the greatest thing in the world. Wish all boards offered that feature.
