Looks like an Acura with the emblem on the grille, the problem with doing that is it makes it harder to tell what brand it is from the front.

There's too much space between the ground and the windows, or the windows are too small for the car, or something. Either way, it doesn't fit right and looks goofy.

where have I seen that type of headlight\tailight????? I wonder.
Need I say more looks like the Japanese are up to what they do best - duplication.

$50 bucks says this car has Front Wheel drive and a V6.

Yes, but they know they duplicate well and teh general public seems to like their duplication since they usually improve while duplicating. Don't think it's gonna stop.

It's supposed to have a V6 (kind of a disappointment, but oh well), but I'm willing to bet $50 it has RWD. This isn't Honda after all.

Unfortunately, while you were joking about the V6 part, I think you're right. Word has it they're dropping the smooth inline 6 from the old IS and using the same V6 that's gonna be in the new GS.

While I'm sure the V6 is gonna be smooth, it was nice knowing that the IS300 had an engine that was related to Supra one.

Looks ok....but if I am going to spend that kind of money............I want my car to look a bit better than its Toyota counterpart. You have to agree, it is a abit Toyota-ish.

I think the interior is pretty sweet though........looks like better quality.

It is not "a bit Toyota-ish" [^] It is a Toyota Lexus are a sort of brand name of the Toyota Company, here in Tokyo They are still Toyotas and they always try hard to designed their cars as close as they can to the Mercedez models. [sing]

I am quite aware that they are one in the same company. That is why I said Toyota Counterpart. All I was saying is for the money that Lexus/Toyota charges for their Lexus (luxery Brand) that it should not look like its cheaper toyota brother.[headbang]

[cheers] tool fan, I did not mean to imply you were not aware that they are one in the same company. I just wanted to say that after all, they were just Toyotas with a different badge ofcourse. The inexpensive and durable vehicles of the 70s and early 80s, now trying to be luxurios and expensive, but can't compare them with a Benz or a Bmw in the same category, they are not in my opinion there yet. I'll have to agree that they are not worth the money. they'll be very nice cars for a lot less. [thumb]

IS and GS are two different models. Think IS/3er, GS/5er for a rough comparison.
