Funny, but at the same time, I honestly can't figure out the point of a car parking itseft. Tell me what circumstances you would have to be in to need this. I've been driving for 9 years now, and I park just fine. I can't figure out why this was even dreamed up in the first place... acutally, it's not so much the fact that someone dreamed it up, but the fact that the people above him/her said "that's a good idea, lets spend lots of money to see how we can do it."... and then it doesn't work anyways. Are the auto makers really running out of ideas to make their car better than all the rest? What a misguided dream. I don't want my car to park itself! I WANT IT TO FOLD UP INTO A BREIFCASE! Hopefully they'll take my suggestion and put their best team of workers on the case to make a car fold up into a breifcase.

Agreed, this is pointless, if you can learn to park a car you shouldnt be driving to begin with..

BMW developed the technology in 2000! Then of course the Japanese copied, BMW scraped it because it was pretty much worthless, kind of like lane descent features, just pointless, funny the Germans always develop technology that holds in the market like ABS and DTC yet everything the Japanese do flops. :)

Lots of videos of it working on youtube.com Parrallel parking that is....I guess backing into a spot....it aint so hot at. LOL THere is a video of a BMW self-parking too. I agree though...it's Useless and pointless. I'm sure it's aimed at sophisicated female drivers who have trouble parking (no offense to females that CAN drive)
