"A new law increases the fee to $750 for a second speeding conviction within three years for driving in excess of 100 mph. The fine for subsequent offenses committed within five years rises to $1,000." Idaho is $54 for a speeding ticket period!

I've read in the past that people regularly go triple digit speeds on the highways and its so rare to get pulled over.

The legislators are out of control. It sounds good....but this is just too excessive, IMHO. It's like how the DUI laws have gotten so onerous, but haven't reduced drunk driving.

ya, i dont know where all teh CHP are...i mean i rarely see them and their station is directly in the middle of the route i go on in the freeway...i dont know what they are doing and the freeway is really busy, but most of the cops are actually patrolling hte toll roads and this 3 lane street (which on the city maps is classified as a highway) and never on the main freeway...well then again people do cruise at 120 on the toll roads cuz its literally like the autobahn, perfectly maintained, its 3 lanes and barely any traffic
