The only thing I don't like about it is how the hood extends down a bit. Other than that, I think it looks fine.

The corner lights suck, it screws up the whole attitude of the car. Has anyone seen the 2005 Acura prototype RL that is to come out soon? The rear of the car looks just like the 7-series. Yup, it has a "Bangle Butt", just goes to show everyone how other auto makers pay so much attention to BMW's designs.

Thankfully we don't know yet what the new 3 is going to look like. I just hope the seams don't cut down, and across each other, then reappear disjointed on the other side of the the car.

The Z9 prototype had more horizontal and continuous lines that connected the car together....







Compare that to the disjointed lines that ended up on the new 6....

aNoodle, have you seen the new 6-series Convertible in person? Top up or top down, the thing looks worse than the Coupe.
I think it's time for BMW to man up and stick to its roots.

Its very bland, but its not ugly. It would be a good design for a Toyota, but it seems like BMW wants to be a step above that, and this design isnt. It also has the ugly X3 headlights. Its not terrible, but it just needs some more aggressive lines.

Those deep dished rims look nice though

Chris Bangle, he's the head designer. He created the new 7, the new 5, the Z4, and the new 6. The new Z4 is hot and the new 5 definitely grows on you. But the 6 and 7 are just odd-balls.

that car looks too damn narrow. if it was wider i'd like it, and get rid of those weird lights. other than that the lines are much more inviting that before. it looks to "economy" right now

Sure ill take the E38 7 series Anyday...
Ill never take the E65, I would have to be out of my mind and drunk to buy that car..

As I said in another post, I didn't like the pictures of the 5, but I like it much better after seeing them live. So I am waiting until I see a new 3'er at the dealer before I pass judgement.
