My sister's kid just got back from a stint in Afghanistan. He saved enough bucks to put a big chunk down on this very nice 350Z. It has many of the same bells and whistles as my 530i, but it's got way more oomph. 287 ponies under the hood. It is FAST! 0-60 in 6.0. [thumb]

WARNING: Big pictures. No fun with 56k dialup.

Those 350z's are sharp. I can't say I have the same taste in wheels as your nephew, but a sharp car nonetheless!! Love that color, too.

Is that an Akita in your avatar?

Nice car. 350Z 6-speed does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. But I must say, those are the most ugliest rims I have ever seen on that car and in general. I cannot believe your nephew actually paid money for those rims...the stock 18" rims are so sweet, why would he put on those ugly aftermarket thick-profile rims and tires?

Heh heh, actually he hated the stock rims. I think the ones he has look better in person. These pics were taken at dusk and brightened up. Those are the stock tires, though.

Did he call me an akita? Why that low down, dirty scoundrel. I'll have you know I'm a purebred MUTT. Momma was a samoyed, Dad was a husky, and I'm the best of both. [thumb] Akita. Sheesh.[rolleyes]

BTW, he was asking me what was the best way to get that stupid dealer sticker off the back of his car. Any ideas?

Yeah, he had read on the 350Z board about the blow dryer trick. He's worried it will loosen the 350Z badge that's just underneath it.

Let's some pix of the wheels in 'good' lighting.. don't think I'll warm up to them, though..

Ok ok... I thought it was to shaggy to be akita, but I figured I'd pose the question.

I prefer a brushed aluminum look myself, but the stock rims on his Z were a bit of a let down compared to the rest of the car.

And sorry about the dog. He's gets a little stressed out sometimes and pops off without thinking. [:I]

Nice choice by your nephew. I think the rims make it look unique and different than all the Z's running around out there. But a quick reprimand from me to you: YOU SHOULD HAVE CONVINCED HIM TO BUY A BMW!!!! [mad] [fake] [j/k] !!! I came back from Iraq and put a fat down payment on a......Bimmer!!!!

Nice car... just make sure he sends the dealer an invoice every month for the advertising on the back of HIS car. [fake]
... speaking of dealers & cars

Hey Bryan,

My ZHP is on the showroom floor at D. BMW of H. until I get home on Dec. 29th...

I'm already thinking of a personalized tag for it.

Considering: 330ZHP [or] 04 ZHP [thumb]

I was living in Nürnberg, Germany when I owned that 633. It would have cost me a fortune to ship it back, so I sold it before I left. Sometimes I wish I'd spent the fortune. [:(]
