The inside of the volume/on/off knob for the OEM BMW radio is stripped [xx(]. My car is a 328ic but this radio is no doubt common to most E36 and maybe other series too. The [}:)] dealer won't sell me a knob, only the entire radio. No luck with car audio shops or audio stores either [?|]. Haven't tried wreckers yet.
Any suggestions?

(I'm assuming you haven't lost or thrown out the stripped knob)

You know how gears on machines are installed? With keystock. Notch the inside of the knob, notch the volume control shaft, and slide a piece of a thick paper clip or something.

Or, use crazy glue. Any reason why that wouldn't work?

buy a replacement radio off ebay. Got one for my car many moons ago (my light was burnt out). Less than $50 shipped; just keep your eyes peeled.
